PRONUNCIATION

/CHI-RIN-GEE-TOE/

Definition: A chiringuito (also known as a guingueta in Catalan, or, by influence of Spanish, a xiringuito) is a relaxed, informal enterprise, usually a bar, selling drinks, tapas and small plates – often in a temporary structure.

The latest addition to east London’s growing restaurant scene, Chiringuito will bring a relaxed beach bar vibe to a corner of Bethnal Green’s iconic Museum Gardens.
Nestled next to the splendid Grade I listed St John’s church our roof-top terrace and patio will provide the perfect setting for a unique fusion of East London charm with Spanish and Latin inspired dishes.

Chiringuito is about inclusivity, informality, and community, without sacrificing quality. Eating, drinking, and relaxing with friends at any time of the day. From a sunrise café cortado (espresso with a splash of milk) and bocadillo, brunch or lunch over-looking the park, to sunset with a glass of cava or one of our signature mescal cocktails, you’re always welcome at Chiringuito.

Chiringuito’s food is inspired by fresh Hispanic and Latin American flavours, as is our dining: plates for sharing, tapas and pinchos.

Our menu stretches from the Catalan capital of Barcelona, where our cocas (Catalan flatbreads) originate, sweeping across the Atlantic with touches of Mexican influence in our fish tacos, and South American ceviche, a speciality of our Peruvian chef. Our menu captures the vibe of anywhere the waves lap the sand, palm trees ripple in the breeze and a chiringuito can be found on the beach, looking out to sea.
